Abstract

Objective To investigate effects and mechanisms of creatine phosphate on myocardium injury induced by limb ischemia reperfusion in rats. Methods Twenty-four rats were randomly divided into 3 groups: sham-operated control(C) group, limb ischemia reperfusion(LIR) group and creatine phosphate(P) group. The level of c-TnI,CK-MB in plasma and MDA,SOD,CaM in myocardial tissue were measured in each group. The cardiac histopathology changes in experimental rats were observed. Results In LIR group, the level of c-TnI,CK-MB in plasma and MDA,CaM in myocardial tissue were significantly increase and the contents of SOD was decreased compared with C group. And under light microscope, myocardial impairment was worst compared with the other two groups. In P group, the activity of SOD was significantly increased and the contents of MDA,CaM,c-TnI,CK-MB was decreased compared with LIR group. The cardiac histopathologic changes was better than P group. Conclusion Myocardium injury can be induced by limb ischemia-reperfusion. Creatine phosphate can protect the myocardium from limb ischemia-reperfusion,and the protective effects may be related to balance of calcium and metabolism of oxygen free radicals.
