Effect of Antigen Amount of ND or IBD Inactivated Vaccines on Cell_Mediated Immune Response in Chickens

Abstract

The relationships between antigen amount and cell_mediate immune response were determined using 17_day_age chickens vaccinated with different dose of inactivated Newcastle disease(ND) oil adjuvant vaccines or infectious bursal disease(IBD) oil adjuvant vaccines.The results showed that similar response curves against IBD vaccine and ND vaccine were obtained by T lymphocyte transformation assay,and high content of vaccine antigen would activate more T lymphocytes in chickens.In addition,at day 7 post inoculation (PI) the stimulatory idies of T lymphocytes of all vaccinated chickens reached up to the top value,and descended near to normal level after 17 days.It suggested that detectable time for the cell mediated immune response was transient during the experiment.
