Abstract

Objective To evaluate the protal hemodynamic changes in patients with hepatic cirrhosis and hypertension treated with PSE.Methods The portal hemodynamic changes were measured using color Doppler ultrasonography in 22 cases with hepatic cirrhosis and hypertension before and after PSE respectively. Results The quantity of blood flow of the portal vein(PV),splenic vein(SV),superior mesentery vein(SMV) and plussing SV with SMV dropped in 22 cases after PSE(P0.05).Conclusion Color Doppler ultrasonography measure of the portal hemodynamic changes of patients with hepatic cirrhosis provides clinical bases for both choosing cases for PSE and judging effects of treatment.PSE can improve the state of hyperdynamic circulation of portal veins system.
