Abstract
In order to development an environmental friendly surface coating technology for magnesium alloy,an orthogonal experiment was designed to optimize the chrome-free Ce-based process to form a conversion coating on AZ91D Mg.The effect of preparing parameters on the coating growth and the anti-corrosion performance of the formed coating was summarized. The results show that the film has not only good appearance but also good anti-corrosion performance. Through SEM micro-analysis and electro-chemical experiment, chemical conversion coatings' morphology and the coating formation mechanism were studied.
