Abstract

In order to study the forsythiaside on antioxidant function of thymus tissue in chickens, sixty one-dayage chickens were used as experimental animals and divided into six groups(10 animals per group). They were nor mal control group, lipopolysaccharide(LPS)control group, low and high of forsythiaside dose control group, low and high of forsythiaside dose test groups. Total-antioxidant capacity(T-AOC),superoxide dismutase(SOD),glutathione(GSH),and malondialdehyde(MDA)of thymus tissue were detected on 21th day after treatment. These results showed that low and high of forsythiaside dose could increase the vitality of SOD,T-AOC and decrease the content of MDA compared with LPS control group. The results revealed that forsythiaside could ameliorate antioxidant function changes of thymus tissue induced by LPS in AA chickens.
