Researches into Li shangyin's poetry and Han Yu's Literary Theory

As a late Tang Dynasty poet,Li Shangyin received much influence from the mid Tang poetry creation styles in his works,and functioned as a connecting link for future generations.But the link of Li's poetry and Han Yu's literary theory attracts little attention.It can be argued,via a detailed study of the inheritance of Han Yu's poetry and literary works,that Li Shangyin's poetry manifests the essence of Han's with revised styles and unique and extraordinary voices,and that Li's high esteem of Han's poetry and sentiments predominated in that age.Close links find full expression in the two great poets' creations,styles and other aspects.Much discussion is yet to be desired for the fact that Li closely followed the writing styles and theories of Han with little public attention.
