Abstract

The dry gas seal fundamentals and the technique characteristics of herringbone spiral groove dry gas seal were introduced.By using the advanced shaft seal type,modification was carried out on the shaft seal system of circulating hydrogen compressor.After modification into dry gas seal,the seal system running indexes can reach the design value completely.The operation was safe,smooth and reliable.
