This paper reviews origins and meanings of overwork and job burnout.Based on the dear researching objects, it compares their similarities in aspects of the effect on physical and mental health,and the effect on economy and society.It emphasizes precisely on the analysis of the differences regarding the cause of this phenomenon,fields and negative effects.From the comparison above,this paper provides a clear and comprehensive understanding to overwork and job burnout.
