Abstract

Based on the review of China's economy in 2002, the paper makes some analysis and prospects of the trend of economic growth and economic policy in 2003. The author holds that in 2002, the organically internal growth mechanism gradually enhanced, but the basis for economic recovery is not stable. The main tune of macro economic policy in 2003 will be to keep the stability and consistency of policy to further strengthen the basis for economic recovery. In this situation, economy in 2003 will still maintain the upward trend. Studying the impetus structure, we see that the contribution of the surplus of foreign trade to the GDP growth will sharply decrease, and that of investment and consumption will be obviously going up. Investment will still be the main impetus in 2003.
