Selection of operative methods for hypospadias

The objective of hypospadias repair is to correct chordee and to have a satisfied appearance of glans penis and nearly normal position of urinary meatus so that the patients can have normal function of urination and procreation.All the operative procedure were tried to accomplished in one stage.In spite of more than 300kinds of surgical procedures the result of urethroplasty is unsatisfied.Keeping the urethra into the urethral plate can en- hance the successful rate of operation and reduce complications.Urethroplasty can be done by autograft especially prepuce of penis.We recommend that TIP procedure should be the first choice for treatment of distal hypospadias while OIF or Duckett procedure for proximal hypospadias.
