Analysis of the Cause for Su Shi to Create The Mimic of Tao's Poetry

TAO Yuan-ming’s position was promoted to its peak in North Song Dynasty.Being moved and inspired by his teachers and friends,SU Shi had special feeling on TAO Yuan-ming.The reason for him to create a lot of Mimic of Tao’s during his life especially in his old age is that he had many same characters with TAO Yuan-ming: both of them had great aspiration and love people and wanted to do something for his country;both of them had plentiful emotions;both of them could take things philosophically when they met setbacks;neither of them affected or stick to one pattern;they had the same viewpoint to poetry.SU Shi’s The Mimic of Tao’s Poetry was not easy imitation.It’s an understanding and an overstep to the spirit of his own.
