Analysis on the Causes of Cultural Transformation of Chinese Wushu in Its Present Development

Abstract

Chinese Wushu in the era of social transformation should transform itself accordingly so as to adapt to the time.Based on the analysis of documental materials on social transformation and Wushu development,the present study sets to analyze the causes why Chinese Wushu must transform itself under the present situation from the perspectives of history,sociology and cultural study.The internal reasons are the difficult situation of competitive Wushu,traditional Wushu,school Wushu,art Wushu,Wushu research,Wushu talent training,the internationalization of Wushu,etc.While the external reasons include the transformation from a major sports country to a world sports country,the development of cultural industries,the improvement of the soft power of Chinese culture and the enhancement of national and cultural identity and so on.Besides,this thesis also studies on the practical approaches of the transformational development of Chinese Wushu on the basis of the above-mentioned studies.
