Abstract

[Objective] To identify the pathogene of hand,foot and mouth disease(HFMD) ,and perform epidemiologic analysis for HFMD. [Methods] The dejecta,throat swab and herpes liquid from cases and clise contacts were collected,and RT-PCR method was established with universal primers within 5′untranslated region of enterovirus and VP1region of Coxsackievirus A16(CAV16) and enterovirus 71(EV 71) . [Results] Among 682 patients,8 cases were CAV16 and 49 cases were EV71 diagnosed from their dejecta,throat swab and herpes liquid by RT-PCR method. The positive rate was 8.36%. The mean age was at the range of one month to nine years old. The peak age was at the range of one to four years. The main symptoms of the patients were oral enanthema and hands and feet rashes,and some of them suffered low-heat. [Conclusion] The pathogene of HFMD were EV71 and CAV16 in QingHai.
