Abstract
Taking four typical stands for object in nature of reserve Saihanwula,this paper research water conservation functions of undergrowth vegetation and litter.The result showed that ①The more complex of stand,the greater of species diversity in understory vegetation,the greater ability of its interception of rainfall.②The volume of the four stands types of litter in the range of 12.44~31.60t/hm2,accumulation of coniferous forest litter was significantly higher than the broad-leaf forest.③The water-holding of litter size order was poplar forestbirch forest poplar birch forest larch forest,The water absorption of litter of poplar forest(511%) was 1.8 times the larch stands(280%).④The maximum moisture capacity of litter was coniferous and broad-leaf mixed forest coniferous forest broad-leaf forest.The maximum interception of litter was coniferous forest coniferous and broad-leaf mixed forest Broad-leaf forest.Effective retaining content of larch forest was the highest(6.56mm),effective retaining content of Birch forest was the least(3.38mm).
