The Analysis of Plant Landscape Space in Pearl River Park of Guangzhou

Plant landscape space in Pearl River Park of Guangzhou was used as the research subject in this article and their spatial distribution in the entire park have been researched, including the landscaping characteristics and plant constitution of four kinds of space formed by landscape plants within the park, which were open space, semi-open space, covered space and vertical space. This article attempted to get rid of the landscape plants as the main aesthetic subject of statically ornamental pattern, and for the real purpose of landscape construction, proposed that landscape plants should be changed from a supporting role of decoratively planting to the protagonist of spatial construction, that is, creating a comfortable environment and recreation areas.
