Abstract
Objective To investigate the pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment of traumatic cerebral infarction so as to improve treatment effects and reduce complications. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical documents of the patients admitted to our hospital with traumatic cerebral infarction for the past five years. There were 2 cases of combined cerebral concussion,2 cases of brain stem injury,6 cases of contusion and laceration of brain,14 cases of intracranial hematoma, and 3 cases of cerebral hernia.19 cases of them were performed with craniotomy and 8 were with medical treatment. Results 25 cases were followed for 3 months up to 5 years. The follow-up rate was 92.6%.According to GOS evaluation criteria,14 of them recovered well,8 ended up with medium level of disability and 2 with high level of disability, and 1 died. Conclusions The pathogenesis of traumatic cerebral infarction is complicated and the prognosis is bad.Utilization of medical imaging, early diagnosis and treatment can increase the chance of survival and reduce the complications.
