On McLuhan’s Philosophical Opinion on Technology

Abstract

It is necessary to re-explain and re-evaluate McLuhan’s theory.By analyzing deeply his philosophic opinion on technology,this article holds that it is a radical but profound theory which emphasizes themselves.He is a historian,not a prophet,and optimistic towards future.And it is improper for us to label his theory as media determinism.
