Abstract
A set of high temperature and high density oil-based drilling fluid system suitable for Yingqiong Basin in South China Sea is introduced, the effect of various treating agents on the system performance is studied. The result shows that the high temperature and high density oil-based drilling fluid system and treating agents stated have good high temperature stability with stable rheology under the density of 2. 3g/cm3, which could meet the needs of drilling engineering.
