Abstract
Translation is an activity of intercultural communication as well as transformation of different languages. Therefore,special attention should be paid to cultural factors that can influence English and Chinese translation,and different translation strategies should be adopted while dealing with cultural differences. In this paper,domestication strategy and foreignization strategy are applied to English and Chinese translation to make sure that the cultural information carried by the source language is exactly translated in the target language and the readers can experience different cultures while learning new languages.
