Abstract
This paper introduces the correlation function and its characters at first. The correlation function describes the fore-and-aft relation of one signal and the relation between two signals. On the basis of this, the theory of correlation detection is described. Then two examples show the practical application of correlation detection in projects and they are simulated in MATLAB.The conclusion is that by correlation detection the cyclic part of random signals can be detected and the weak signal which is submerged by noise can be distilled.
