Abstract

A microtitration assay was developed for determination of ALT in plasma .The assay was compared with colorimetry to detect the serum sample of known fixed values, working standard and the quality control serum samples. The result showed that the microtitration assay is of good reproducibility. There are no significant differences between the data obtained from the microtitration assay and colorimetry. The colorimetry can be replaced by the microtitration assay for determination of ALT content. This method is suitable for fast detection of the ALT content in plasma.
