Abstract

Object: To evaluate the effectiveness of the tension-free vaginal tape (TVT) operation in the treatment of female stress urinary incontinence. Method: 37 cases female stress urinary incontinence treated by tension-free vaginal tape (TVT) operation from January 2000 to March 2003 were analyzed retrospectively. Results: 35 cases were completely cured, 1 case was improved and there was 1 cases of a part of mesh perforation into urethra 6 months after operation which was solved by endoscopic mesh section (TUR). Conclusion: TVT is an effective, simple and save technique in the treatment of female stress urinary incontinence.
