Abstract
Unstable exciter rotor vibration under synchronous and load operation is inherent in imported type 300MW unit made in shanghai. First modification of exciter rotor induced high critical unbalance vibration response problem of generator rotor and exciter rotor. Second modification eliminated the vibration malfunction in generator and exciter rotor as a result of rotor dynamics design failure. Based on field measurement data and advanced rotor dynamics, vibration mechanism and characteristics of generator and exciter rotor are discussed and concluded.
