Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the diagnosis and treatment of renal oncocytoma. Methods: Retrospective analysis of the clini-cal data of 11 cases of renal oncocytoma admitted to our hospital from 2003 to 2009,and discussed its diagnosis and treatment with liter-ature reviewed. Results: 11 Patients, including 7 males and 4 females, ware 26 to 75 years old. There were 1 case with Clear cell carcino-ma,1 case misdiagnosed as adrenal gland tumors,1 case misdiagnosed as renal cell carcinoma and had done radical nephrectomy, and other 10 patients had done partial nephrectomy. No recurrence or metastasis was reported later from 11 months to 7 years. Conclusions: It tends to be benign renal tumor. It has no specific features on the Clinical manifestations. The diagnosis should be established on symp-tom,physical sign, imaging and pathology.Nephron-sparing surgery should be done, and the follow-up is important because the tumor may be combined with malignancy tissues.
