Abstract
The patriotic education is one of the main elements of ideological and political education for college students.Outline of Modern Chinese History is an excellent teaching material for arousing college students' patriotism.Through the study of modern Chinese history,students can develop the national spirit of self-reliance;firmly holding the idea of adhering to the socialist road,and guide the college students to grasp the new meaning of patriotism so as to be rational patriotism.
