Abstract

Objective To understand the status of HBV infection and ALT level of practitioners in food industry and public place of Guangzhou, and provide a scientific basis for controlling HBV prevalence. Method Sera samples were collected and tested for HBsAg,HBeAg and ALT in practitioners who had physical examination in Guangzhou Center for Diseases Control and Prevention in 2009. Results The HBsAg positive rates was 4.51%(10 368/229 738);the HBeAg positive rates was 1.30%(2 998/229 738); the abnormal rate of ALT was 0.92%(2 125/229 738). In view of the age distribution, the HBsAg positive rate of 30~ years old group was the highest (5.15%),and the HBeAg positive rate of the 30 years old group was the higest(1.61%).The differences between different age groups were statistical significance(P0.001). The HBsAg positive rate, HBeAg positive rate and the abnormal rate of ALT in males were obvious higher than those of famales(P0.001). Conclusions The status of HBV infection in practitioners in Guangzhou was low compared with the general population.Through preventive physical examination, health education and health promotion, and hepatitis B vaccination can gradually reduce the infection of HBV.
