Abstract

The methods and precision in use of total station instrument in the highway construction to make dense of the controlling points of the construction plane to survey and determine the center points of the highway constructions are introduced. It also expounds the methods and precision on how to control the construction details of the structures and bridges. It also expounds the essential points for attention in the process of the use of the total station instrument such as the instrument locating, leveling, the prism constant, laying out and setting up the suitable control density and so on.
