How Textual Flaws in the Original Are Handled in Chinese-English Translation

Proceeding from the discrimination of literary and non-literary discourses,this paper makes a tentative study of textual flaws in non-literary Chinese writing in terms of the modern Chinese norm.It then puts forward some suggestions on the identification and handling of textual flaws in translation,and explores its significance to translation theories.
