Abstract

According to the monitoring data of Akashiwo sanguinea red tide occurred in Xiamen Sea in January and February 2009,the characteristic of red tide, the relationships of environmental factors and the density of Akashiwo sanguinea were analyzed. The results showed that the red tide event was the earliest and the longest one in Xiamen Sea.Akashiwo sanguinea had more competitive advantages over Skeletonema costatum and had a strong adaptability to water temperature change during the red tide, and the reproduction could be simulated by higher salinity.Besides,Akashiwo sanguinea had more competitive advantages in inorganic phosphorus limited environment and was benefited by the high nitrogen.
