Abstract
Objective To assess the meaning of extended high frequency audiometry in early diagnosis of presbycusis and the relation of it to the age. Methods The groups of different age were examined by extended high frequency audiometry. Results The thresholds increased gradually and the threshold occurrence rate measured decreased as increase of the examined frequencies,as well as increase of the age in different frequency. Conclusion Extended high frequency audiometry have meaning in early diagnosis of presbycusis, and the age of patients shoud be considered.
