On Northern Shaanxi folk songs declining function and counter-measures in contemporary society

The survey study found that with the rapid development of modern society,as well as the change of aesthetic concept,many folk songs in northern Shaanxi are continuously declining in tradifional function.However,some features of northern Shaanxi folk songs also showed a strong vitality and adaptability and flexibility.In response to this phenomenon,great importance must be attacbed to its excavation,theoretical research and putting in a lot of manpower,material resources and financial resources to strengthen innovation and dissemination.Only in this way can the Northern Shaanxi folk songs reproduce vitality and unique cultural charm.
