Flexible Networked Data Storage Center

Along with widely using information technology,modern storage system is improved to satisfy user needs.Flexible networked data storage center(data center) is an IP-based storage system in which storage devices can be accessed directly by hosts without passing through a server.This paper analyzes the system architecture of data center.The experimental results show that data center provides higher performance than server-based storage system.Network attached optical jukebox leads data center to a hierarchical storage structure.Mass disk buffer combined with CD mirror technology makes jukebox more efficient.Security of data center is also considered.A biological immunity——inspired security mechanism in data center is used to protect storage nodes from abnormal access and operation.
