Abstract
Objective To observe the effect of polyclonal antibody to LPS binding protein (LBP) on activation in alveolar typeⅡcells (ATⅡcells) induced by LPS.Methods ATⅡcells primary culture were randomized to six groups:control, LPS, antibodies 30 min before LPS, antibodies + LPS, antibodies 30 min after LPS, antibodies 1 h after LPS. The activation of NF-κB and the content of TNF-α and IL-6 in culture media were measured by electrophoretic mobility shift assay and ELISA respectively. Results The activity of NF-κB and the content of TNF-α and IL-6 in culture media were significantly decreased by the antibody when used by early stage versus control. Conclusion Antibody to LBP can inhibit the activation of NF-κB and production TNF-α and IL-6 in ATⅡcells induced by LPS.
