Clinical summary of treating chronic prostatitis with combination of Chinese and western medicine

Abstract
Objective:To evaluate the curative effect of chronic prostatitis by combination of Chinese and western medicine and search the best method of treatment for chronic prostatitis.Methods:681 cases were treated and divided into three groups at random: combination of Chinese and western medicine for 472 cases、single Chinese medicine for 93 cases and western medicine for 116, then the curative effect was evaluated respectively.Results:The total effective rate is 85.6% in combinational group,significantly higher than 71.6% in single western medicine group and 63.4% in single Chinese medicine group.Conclusion:The treatment method of combining Chinese and western medicine for chronic prostatitis can achieve satisfactory effect ,and signicantly better than the effect of single Chinese or western medicine.
