Abstract

Objective To investigate the clinical value of digital mammography.Materials and Methods We collected 500 images of digital mammography and screen-film mammography respectively.Display of diseases, quality of images and radiation doses were compared.Results(1)Digital mammography with traditional screen-film mammography of the disease showed that rates were as follows:microcalcification 26% vs11.2%,P=0.000,mass 15.2% vs10.8%,P=0.039,architectural distortion 18% vs8.8%,P=0.000,skin and nipple changes affect 4.8% vs1.8%,P=0.008.There was a significant difference between the two groups.⑵ Radiation doses and ratio of repeat radiation:radiation doses of digital mammography were reduced, the ratio of repeat digital mammography was zero. The ratio of repeat traditional film-screen mammography was 1.4%.Conclusion Digital mammography is superior to traditional screen-film mammography in technology and quality of diagnostic image, digital mammography has a higher clinical application value and should be used widely.
