Analyses on Chinese Sports Periodicals' Academic Level by the Information Source of Periodical G8 of Chinese People's University

This paper is to probe into the current situation of Chinese periodicals academic level of sports in our nation,applying academic data,manual statistics,and quantitative analyses,and with referrence of the papers published in data of Periodical G8 of Chinese People's University from 2001 to 2005 as well.The conclusion arrived at is that it is polarized though its academic level is rather high: central journals of Sports,the main stages for high-leveled academic papers,are in stable level and superior to non-central ones,part of non-central journals are not inferior to those in central ones.However,most of periodicals directed by the provincial PE Research Institutions are not well-accepted enough.
