ENDOPHYTIC PESTALOTIOPSIS SPECIES FROM SOUTHERN CHINA

Abstract

The diversity of endophytic Pestalotiopsis species was investigated in southern China. A total of 23 Pestalotiopsis species were isolated from 17 plant species belonging in eight families, of which four species formerly placed in the genus Pestalotia were recombined into the genus Pestalotiopsis, i.e. P. briosiana, P. paeoniicola, P. subcuticularis and P. suffocata. These four new combinations were illustrated and redescribed. The host plants and distribution of other 19 species were listed.
