Autogenous hair transplantation in treatment of hair loss due to steatorrhea:an analysis of 60 cases

Objective To investigate the clinical effects of hair transplants from the autogenous body hair in the treatment of hair loss due to steatorrhea.Methods 60 patients with hair loss due to seborrheic dermatitis underwent autogenous hair transplantation for repair,of whom 23 had one transplantation and 37 examples had one more transplantation for hair density.Results During the follow-up ranging from 6 to 24 months,all the 60 patients had a marked improvement in appearance as of their operations,without any complications.Conclusion The application of hair transplantation technique with autogenous body hair in the treatment of loses hair due to hair loss steatorrhea is preferable in that the postoperative hair transplants have higher survival rate and look natural.The post-transplant hair density is attributable to the area of hair loss and the hair density of donor areas.
