Abstract

As an important protein feed resources,alfalfa silage is of great significance for alfalfa industry and the healthy development of animal husbandry in China. In this paper,the research progress of development history and present situation of alfalfa silage, fermentation promotation, fermentation inhibiting and mixed silage were summarized,and the current main problems in alfalfa silage industry development and future research directions were put forward,in order to provide theoretical and practical references for the alfalfa silage research.
