Abstract
Cenosphere particles coated with nanoscale particles of metal prepared by electroless plating can present advantages of good electromagnetic function, light quality and well chemistry stability simultaneously, and hence the application of cenosphere particles can be expanded obviously.Cenosphere particles with electroless plating of Ni-P alloy are prepared using AgNO_3 as an activator. The morphology and composition of the cenosphere particles are investigated by the XRD,SEM and EDX techniques. The results show that Ni-P alloy can be plated symmetrically on the surface of the cenosphere particles. The parameter dielectric constants and magnetic constants of the products are studied by the waveguide method. It is shown that the cenosphere particles after electroless plating have the performance of dielectric dissipation.
