Abstract

【Objective】The purpose of this project was studied effects of exoge no us Ca2+ on chilling resistance of cotton seedlings.【Method】The variety of xi nl uzao 12 was used as the test material,The cotton seedlings were treated by CaCl 2 solut io n with different concentration and that of chilling index, chlorophyll content, MDA content, soluble protein content and CAT activity in artificial low temperat ure treatment 3d were studied.【Result】CaCl2 could obviously decrease chilli ng index and MDA content of cotton seedlings, and increase their chlorophyll conten t,soluble protein content and CAT activity;Significant correlation was showed among CAT activity, chlorophyll content and chilling index.【Conclusion】Exog enous Ca2+could significantly increase chilling resistance of cotton seedlings.
