Abstract

Objective To investigate the clinical value of susceptibility weighted imaging (SWI) in assessing the intracranial hemorrhage. Methods 53 cases of intracerebral hemorrhage patients underwent T1WI,T2WI,FLAIR and SWI.SWI amplitude map,the phase map and MinIP map were obtained from SWI imaging through post-processing in Philips EWS workstation. The ability of T1WI+T2WI,FLAIR,SWI methods in detecting intracranial hemorrhage was scored according to a 3 points scoring method and statistically compared by using a t test. Results The sensitivity of T1WI + T2WI,FLAIR,SWI in detecting intracranial hemorrhage were 24.5%,49.1%,86.8%,respectively,SWI was higher than the former two sequences (P0.05);the scores of ability in detecting intracranial hemorrhage were 1.01±0.63,1.52±1.01,2.31±0.50 points,SWI was higher than the former two. Conclusions SWI was better than conventional sequence in detecting intracranial hemorrhage.
