Abstract
Combined with principles of bubbleless aeration and air backwashing method,a new submerged membrane bioreactor(MBR) was designed and compared with the conventional submerged membrane bioreactor.The results show that when the jute bio-degumming wastewater is treated,dissolved oxygen content in the new MBR is significantly higher than that in traditional MBR,COD removal rate is also significantly higher than that in traditional MBR under the same operation conditions.In addition,compared with traditional MBR,the new MBR has advantages of low membrane filtration pressure,slight membrane fouling,low energy consumption and so on.
