Abstract

Al-Si casting aluminium alloy is widely used in casting aluminium alloy rims. The technology of composition control, grain refinement and modification of the alloy can heavily influence its character. Some research on alloy treatment and casting process to put forward a reasonable approach on the manufacturing of aluminium alloy rims are summarized.
