Abstract
ObjectiveTo study the relationship between antibiotic resistance and resistant gene in clinical isolates of Acinetobacter baumannii.MethodsThe antibiotic resistance was determined by Kirby-Bauer method in 17 strains of A.baumannii.The resistant genes were detected by polymerase chain reaction(PCR).ResultsTwelve strains were identified as multiresistant isolates with presence of bla_(TEM),ampC,aacA4 and mutation of gyrA gene.Of the other five strains,4 carried bla_(TEM) gene, and 2 had gyrA without expression.ConclusionsThe multiple resistance of A.baumannii has close relation to concomitant presence of bla_(TEM),ampC,aacA4 genes and mutation of gyrA gene.
