Abstract

The Upper Yellow River in Qinghai, with a drainage area of 23.8% of the whole valley producing 50.2% of the whole river's annual runoff, plays a decisive role in sustainable exploitation of the Yellow River water resources. Considering the characteristics of water resources, developing status and main problems existed, the measures are put forward for properly exploiting water resources and protecting ecological environment.
