Wang Youdan and the Literary Circle in the Early Qing Dynasty

Wang Youdan,a poet in the early Qing Dynasty,has complicated experience in his lifetime.Wang took advantage of his social status and literary talent to cultivate close relations with adherents of the Ming Dynaty in the South of the Changjiang River,which influenced the public opinions widely.He frequently gave banquets in Yangzhou and invited poets to write poems on the spot.In addition,he made friends with many poets in Jinling,Qianjiang and Jingshi.Wang was then acclaimed by adherents of the Ming Dynaty,a friend of common people.Wang also helped young scholars publish their works.He become a leader in the then literary world.
