Abstract

Objective To discuss the X-ray defecography classification of rectal prolapse and its value of clinical applica tion. Methods The defecography imaging of 168 cases with rectal prolapse and X-ray classification were restrospectively reviewed. Results Among 168 cases of rectal prolapse, there were 98 cases with rectal mucosal prolapse,40 cases with inter nal rectal intussusception,6 cases with anal canal mucosal prolapse,22 cases with anal canal intussusception,2 cases with external rectal prolapse, and rectal prolapse often associated with functional outlet obstruction. Conclusion The X-ray defecography typing of rectal prolapse can be conductive to disease diagnosis and provide reliable basis for clinical treatment.
