This paper analyzes the flow pulsation in a compound gear pump with 2-idlers,derives formulae for calculating displacement, average flow velocity, instantaneous flow and pulsation flow. It is pointed out that this sort of gear pump can provide higher flow pulsation frequency when taking teeth number z=2k+1.
