Abstract
Two limited regional mesoscale numerical model systems have been set up on the basis of GRAPES and MM5. Quality analysis of theirs are examined in application of forecasting temperature and precipitation of summer 2006. The results indicate: GRAPES and MM5 have great ability on predict. The temperature prediction of GRAPES bears comparison to that of MM5. The 0~24 h precipitaion prediction effect of GRAPES is superior to that of MM5, the 24~48 h of GRAPES is inferion to that of MM5. The productions of GRAPES and MM5 can be the basis of high resolution and high precision precipitaion.
